1960年代後半、ヒッピームーブメントの高まりの中で、彼らの愛する芸術、音楽の分野にも様々な影響が及ぼされました。そんな中、ファミリードッグやビル・グラハムといったプロモーターのコンサートに、サイケデリック ロック ポスターが用いられました。ポスターの作者の中でも、スタンリー・マウス（Stanly Mouse）、アルトン・ケリー（Alton Kelley）、リック・グリフィン（Rick Griffin）、ウェス ウィルソン（Wes Wilson）、ビクター・モスコソ（Victor Moscoso）は、ビッグファイブと呼ばれ、芸術性の高い作品を数多く生み出しました。 今では、単なるポスターではなく、アートとして評価されています。

ブートレガーズがセレクトしたサイケデリックロックアートポスターのうち、「Tree Indian Dudes」はリック・グリフィンが手がけたもので、「ANGEL」「APATCH」「HUMAN BE-IN」はスタンリー・マウスが手がけたもの（アルトン・ケリーとの共作もあり）です。

サイケデリックロックポスターは、ヒッピームーブメント終焉までの、ごく短い間に一気に昇華され消え去りました。

しかし、その後もリック・グリフィンやスタンリー・マウスなどは、アルバムジャケットやロックTシャツに魅力的な作品を多く残しています。

現在では一つのジャンルとして確立した感のある「ロックTシャツ」は、ロックンロールショービジネスの一環として、1960年代後半から1970年代初頭にかけて生み出されるようになりました。
